When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York
City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by
three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons.
Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the
murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a
smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to
ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a
Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within
twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her
mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons
be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary
suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .
Ok freaking love this book (yes Ima say it again). My old fabulous teacher Mrs. Taylor, made us watch a book pass thingy, on it. They made it seem kinda dumb, but I gave it a chance. And it was amazing. I loved pretty much every one, from Clary the main chicka, to the amazingly amazing high warlock of Brooklyn Magnus (CHAIRMAN MEOW TOO). It was a whole other would and it was amzaing. The shadow hunters were cool too, I liked Alec even though he was a huge ass to Clary, I still love him. Isabelle pisses me off alot, but she gets better. Jace is a HUGE ass, but I f*cking love him, he's on my boyfriend list too. Amazing book and series. I've read the first three and started the fourth, but something pissed me of during the first 50 pages and Istopped. I have never stopped a book unless I had good reason so I'm rereading them. Can't wait to get City of Lost Souls. :D P.S to Melanie, go read it fool! You have my copy at your house! Stop reading Harry Potter again and read City of Bones >:O!
AAAAHHHHHHH I love this series. The new one just came out. i haven't read it yet but I'm hopeful. :)
