There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.
So I finished this book last night. And it took me a while to get into it, like it took me a while to get into. But I liked it once Daniel started paying attention to her. Which was like 100 pages from the end so I was just like -_-, that was my face I'm for real. But I really liked Luce, and I LOVED her name. Lucinda, how freaking awesome is that? I thought it was pretty cool that she had, had past lives, but she didn't like it. So I was just like wtf. But I am so upset with myself for liking Cam. So upset, you have no idea. So, yea I own this book and I would recommend reading it, but prepare yourself for a slow start.
The other books are better than this one. Trust me, I have all of them. They don't keep you waiting to get into the plot like they do with this one. It starts out good and ends even better.
